Business Registration

In January 2012 the Town of Addison approved Ordinance 011-073, which requires all entities who occupy commercial, retail, office and industrial space to annually register with the Town and pay a $50 administrative fee. Failure to register a business could result in penalties imposed by the Town.

Education

Despite the community's size, Addison is served by two public school districts: Dallas ISD and Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD. Where you reside within the community determines your school district.

History of Addison

The Town of Addison is located in an area once called Peters Colony. It was settled as early as 1846 when Preston Witt built a house on White Rock Creek.
